Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 6, 2026 · Last Updated: August 6, 2026

SCREENBot ("the App") is developed and operated by Frisson Digital, Inc. ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use SCREENBot on iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

SCREENBot is designed to process your screenshots primarily on your device. We do not sell your data.

Information We Collect

Photos and Screenshots. SCREENBot requests access to your Photos library (Mobile) or selected folders on your Mac (Desktop) to scan and classify screenshots. Screenshots are processed to extract text and categorize content. Processed results are stored locally on your device.

Usage Data. We may collect anonymous usage analytics including scan counts and categories processed, app session duration and feature usage, and crash reports and error logs. This data does not include your screenshots or any personally identifiable information.

Purchase Information. Mobile subscription purchases are processed by Apple via In-App Purchase; we do not receive or store your payment information. Desktop purchases, once commercially available, will be processed by Stripe under Stripe's own privacy terms.

How We Use Your Information

  • To classify and organize your screenshots into categories
  • To provide and improve the SCREENBot service
  • To track subscription status and enforce usage limits tied to your account
  • To diagnose technical issues and improve app performance

AI Processing and Sub-Processors

To classify a screenshot, its image content is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis. Anthropic processes this image solely to return a classification result to our backend and does not retain it afterward. We do not use your screenshots to train any AI model.

Data Storage

Your screenshot data and personal lists are stored locally on your device. We do not transmit your screenshot library or list contents to our servers in bulk. Individual images are transmitted only at the moment of classification, to our backend API (hosted on Google Cloud Run) and then to Anthropic's Claude API as described above, and are not retained by either after processing.

Third-Party Services

SCREENBot may link out to third-party services (Spotify, Apple Music, Netflix, Amazon, and similar) based on content you've saved. These links open external apps or websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.

Infrastructure providers we use: Apple App Store / StoreKit (subscription management), Google Cloud Run (backend API processing), Anthropic Claude API (image classification), and Google Cloud Firestore (usage tracking, Pro tiers only).

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data lives primarily on your device. Deleting the SCREENBot app removes all locally stored data. To request deletion of any server-side usage records, contact us at the address below.

Children's Privacy

SCREENBot is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through the App or by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
